Mineral Make-up: I've used Bare Escentuals for years and the mineral make-up is comparable. Same quality lower prices. It's amazing what ELF offers and if you think paying more for your make-up makes you feel better or works better, again it's preference or your skin's preference. I've tried both but if you want to get the "looks" and not end up with piles of unused make-up, this is the way to go. Plus, it's very easy on your finances. $20 can go a long way at ELF.
The mineral foundation is comparable to the name brand I've been using. I'm a medium complexion, green eyed/blond with a touch of olive in my skin: the Light mineral foundation is perfect. The eye liners are as advertised and the Midnight color really makes my green eyes more vivid. I would suggest getting together with someone else and placing a large order, then swapping back and forth and choosing which colors suit you best.
If you want cosmetics that do what they say they will, try ELF. My daughter and I got together and sent a large order, it arrived within a week. The order was complete, nothing missing. The lip glosses are subtle, not garish. Yea, they're sticky...they're lip gloss...duhh. I ordered a wide selection of lip glosses, expecting to have to choose just one to wear. I ended liking almost every color because they're so subtle.
I am completely happy with e.l.f. I placed two orders last weekend and received them both today (Friday). Nothing was missing and everything was correct and in good condition. My coworkers were admiring the products and asking where they could buy them. The only item I've tried so far is the nail polish, which I had previously purchased in a store. It's one of the best polishes I've ever used and after a week is still chip-free.
